WODEN is a Scandinavian sneaker brand with a focus on Scandinavian design values, high-quality natural materials and great value for money. They believe in products and people, which is why WODEN shoes are designed with care and produced by passionate and talented people. Fashion, functionality and anatomy are essential elements of the WODEN DNA, ensuring that these sneakers are meticulously designed for urban life.

WODEN was established in 2013 by Carsten Holm, a shoemaker with a long history in the shoe industry. He realised that nature and the Scandinavian design tradition combined with the DNA of the sneaker and high quality at a reasonable price would be the perfect foundation for creating a fashionable Scandinavian sneaker. Today, we call this Scandinavian Simplicity.

With respect for the environment and their surroundings, WODEN takes a sustainable approach: REDUCE. REUSE. RECYCLE. WODEN want to be more than just a sneaker. They strive to constantly push the boundaries for how shoes can be constructed, focusing on giving their shoes a greener footprint. WODEN have therefore replaced as many synthetic materials as possible with materials such as fish leather as the WODEN DNA, a minimum of 10% recycled rubber in the outsoles and eco-friendly cork insoles in all WODEN shoes.
